With “Dolcenduro” officially it started the 2016 racing season.<\/p>\n
It ‘was a very demanding race for both the mileage (in the end we exceeded 50 km race) for both vertical meters (about 1700), and given the high level of the athletes at the start was a great bench test to measure up and see where we were with the preparation.<\/p>\n
We would arrive at the first race of the season with a lot of different preparation between us but since this year it begins immediately with two very important races (SuperEnduro in Massa Marittima and especially the Italian Championship in Sestri Levante) were both beautiful loads of workouts and this was icing the cake to end the winter training. We decided to get off at Dolceacqua a couple of days before in order to run on different paths than usual and especially hoping to get some ‘sunny and warm … so it was for the afternoon of Thursday and Friday and on Saturday a strong shower in the night and in the morning has forced organizers to change the race program and we will stay dry in the morning and then take a pair of runs in the afternoon.<\/p>\n
The race program then consisted of 3 special stages all very natural and complete with PS1 especially with many traits pedaled. The ground was slippery in some sections and then moved to the other when it was almost dry and then you always had to be very careful where you put the wheels and always be ready for anything.<\/p>\n
The race is spun without problems, but the end result was not the best. On the one hand the very high standard and the other being the first season race and to finish with a big load of work behind him did not allow us to be super competitive (especially Denny missing a little ‘special rhythm – the delay in preparation due to the intervention in the shoulder you do a little ‘feel) but we are not completely dissatisfied had feelings.<\/p>\n
Then we go back home with a 11 \u00b0 and 12 \u00b0 final place aware that we are on track and loads for the upcoming events, starting from March 20 in Massa Marittima for the return of SuperEnduro.<\/p>\n
