Now it’s been almost a week since the last stage in 2015 Enduro World Series in Finale Ligure and lacks only a little more than seven days to permanently end the season. In a week it will be the last round of the Italian Enduro just Coggiola Cup and will be the perfect end to a 2015 more than positive for me.

To go back to a week ago rather was a very hard and tough race, made even more challenging by the rain of the previous days, with very special physical and several cycling and really difficult and at times almost risky weather conditions, so much so that the organizers put on alert and force them to cancel a special.

In the end then it has gone from 6 ps planned to make “only” 5.

We canceled the PS1 on Saturday we immediately started with the special longer ride the race, the dreaded PS2.

Usually always suffer a little ‘the first special of the race but this time, saw the “long” traits pedaled, I managed to get my rhythm and make a good special, without overdoing it and without making mistakes. so I close the ps2 in 39th position.

Then made the first special of the race passes by C.O and then the classic transfer of Roman bridges leads us on the plateau of delusions. Here two stages were planned: PS3 San Michele (a path that we had already used as a special stage in 2013 at the first edition EWS) and PS4 DhMen, the ps with more public last season and so you could not not put.

Both specials are good; especially the ps3 I feel quite fast, in short cycled initial push hard on the pedals, and only in the final hairpins I lose a little ‘speed, in the end it will be 32 and my best result of the special race. The ps4 instead knew it was not very suitable for me because already from the name you know it’s very discesistica childbirth and then decided not to make mistakes and try only to make a clean special to not lose too much time; I can in my purpose and I enjoy just during the special, in the end a large cheering (and I was leaving very first of the strongest, I dare not imagine when I dropped them) literally give up the brakes and conclude the special very satisfied. Indeed arrival 51 ° from those a few seconds before and for me is a super result!

At the end of the first day of competition it is therefore 38th overall and first of the Italians; a good result but I want to improve in the next day.

The program on Sunday included the long journey to the born basic (about 2 hours of climbing) and then the longest special of the race; After this another transfer to get to PS6, the last of the race.

These two stages were better suited to my characteristics because very driven, but nothing difficult and technical, narrow and some nice piece cycled. After making a good first day of competition and be 15 seconds from the 30 th position (which was a bit ‘my goal before the race) childbirth convinced and load to be able to reassemble.

Unfortunately PS5 is not very good because I can not unblock, I drive well, but I do not feel a breeze, and the traits pedaled subisco them a bit ‘not being able to express myself better; only in the final stretch of the ps I feel more at ease, I take more confidence and give up more brakes but this is not enough. In fact I placed me 45th special and that makes me lose some positions in the general.

Given the strong finish of SS5 I decide to risk a bit ‘more to the last special race of the day to try to recover at least what I had missed in the previous one.

In this, in which there was much cycled, leaving immediately strong and do the first part led very well, also the long stretch central cycled push enough and in the end I try to keep up the speed and drive clean. Ps I finish in 36 th position but above all happy for the good feelings.

At the end of the race, unfortunately I will be 43 th overall after losing five positions compared to Saturday. Especially in this game takes very little to lose precious seconds and positions, no one can ever give a ps “crooked.” Despite this I close the race satisfied with the result, to be the first Italian at the finish but above all to be “only” 18sec from the thirtieth square that for me it is still a great goal, as in positions in front of me there are all great athletes.

Thanks to this result, and after only two EWS this year, close to the 90th place in the overall standings Enduro World Series.

There is still much to work on to be competitive but I know where I need to improve, compared to last year I made a big leap forward and for 2016 point to make one more big to be faster and faster!

Now even a week of concentration and then the last season the number will be put on the handlebars, I still have some small chance of winning the Italian Cup (it is really hard but you never know) and then the ultimate goal is to … I point win at home, and at least stop the winning streak of my brother, and then we’ll see what happens !!!
